Journal: Mediální studia / Media Studies
Guest editors: Ib T. Gulbrandsen, Pille Pruulmann-Vengerfeldt, and Andra Siibak
Deadline: 1 September 2024
We are happy to invite you to submit abstract proposals for papers to be published as part of a special issue dedicated to scholarship presented at the ECREA doctoral summer schools in 2023 and 2024 at Roskilde University, Denmark.
Interested 2023 summer school alumni and 2024 participants are, exclusively, invited to submit proposals for papers based on original research, addressing the issue raised theoretically, methodologically, and/or empirically. In other words, the paper may investigate various concepts and terminologies within media and communication studies; it may corroborate existing and/or offer new methodological approaches; and it may empirically examine various facets of media and communication practices.
Abstracts with proposals for submissions should be no more 300-word (excluding references), and must outline the paper, providing research questions and/or hypotheses, methods, key messages or results, and contribution to the current body of knowledge. The submission must include a front page with title, all author names and affiliations, as well as a short bio of the author(s) (no more than 75 words).
Authors of selected abstracts will be asked to submit full papers of 6000-8000 words, including footnotes and references, no later than 2 February. All papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Please click here for more information on the journal’s submission guidelines.
