Use public transportation – it’s well-functioning and easy to plan via Rejseplanen. The below assumes that, once in Denmark, your primary mode of transportation will be train. If this does not apply to you, please click here for alternative information or write to ecrea-ikh@ruc.dk.
Getting from Copenhagen airport to Roskilde city/hotel
There is a train station located in terminal 3 where direct and connecting trains to Roskilde city depart several times an hour and costs approx. 76 kroners one way.
Getting from Roskilde city/hotel to summer school venue
The closest train station to the hotel is Roskilde station. From there trains to Trekroner station leaves 4-5 times per hour. All participating students will be given a pre-paid ‘travel card’ on the first day of summer school – the card covers transportation between the hotel and the summer school venue.
How to acquire a train ticket
Always buy a ticket before boarding the train and keep the ticket with you in case a conductor asks to see it. Tickets can be bought in ticket machines, which accept most common credit cards, or 7-Eleven kiosks at all train and metro stations. You can also buy your bus, train, and metro tickets online or by using the DOT app.
