Accommodation: All Summer School students will be housed at the historical Hotel Prindsen. Accommodation, incl. breakfast, is covered by the Summer School and a single room has been reserved in your name. Check-in is after 14.00 and check-out is before 11.00.
Business hours: Shops are usually open on Monday – Thursday 10:00-18:00, Friday 10:00-19:00 and Saturday 10:00-16:00. Supermarkets, grocery stores and kiosks are usually open from 9:00-21:00 all days of the week.
Climate: Plan for sunny 25-degree days AND rainy 15-degree days. The Scandinavian saying “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing” fully applies, even in August.
Currency: Danske Kroner. Denmark is a mostly cashless society, so most places prefer credit cards over cash.
Electricity: Danish power plug sockets are of type E and K, the standard voltage is 230 V, and the frequency is 50 Hz.
